The Brief
Lee Segui is a team of plaintiffs’ lawyers who broke away from one of the largest plaintiffs’ litigation firms in the world to build something more focused: a tighter group of like-minded attorneys bringing a modern, empathetic approach to complex nationwide litigation. Many of the firm’s biggest cases start as their own ideas, not referrals, an unusual model that shaped how the brand needed to communicate initiative and independence, not just capability. From the initial seed of an idea to the closing argument, the firm is in it for their clients, not the headlines, leading, protecting, and always pushing forward.
Most branding projects design for the customer. This one had four audiences, and only one of them was the plaintiff. Judges deciding who leads a class action. Opposing counsel sizing up whether the firm will fold under pressure or fight to trial. Prospective co-counsel deciding whether this is a team worth years of shared casework. And future hires, the smart, like-minded lawyers the firm needs to keep growing. The brand needed to convey serious, well-funded, and credible enough to stand across the table from a thousand-lawyer defense firm, while still feeling approachable, empathetic, and genuinely human. Gravitas and warmth, in equal measure.
The Work
We positioned Lee Segui as a firm that goes all in: smart, aggressive, and human enough to trust, a balance of gravitas and approachability expressed through a contemporary, sophisticated visual identity. The brand deliberately avoids every clichéd legal symbol, no scales of justice, no gavels, no columns, in favor of a mark with real intention behind it and a visual language that feels modern, elegant, and confident rather than staid and old guard.
Smart, aggressive, and plainspoken, without sounding like every other plaintiffs’ firm chasing headlines. The brand needed to read as trial-ready, not just settlement-ready, because that’s what judges and opposing counsel are actually sizing up: will this firm fight a case to the end, or fold under pressure? The same voice had to convince a judge of the firm’s competence in one paragraph, then make a first-time class action plaintiff feel taken care of in the next.
The website is a custom ACF Pro WordPress build designed to do more than look polished. It had to convert credibility into contact. Every attorney has a dedicated bio page. Dedicated practice area pages cover Class Actions, Employment Litigation, Consumer Protection, Appellate, and Mass Torts, each built to expand as the firm grows. A results section puts verdicts and settlements front and center, because for this audience, results are the entire pitch. A merged News and Insights section keeps case updates, press coverage, and firm news in one dynamic, easy-to-navigate place. And a dedicated Campaigns section, a genuinely unusual feature for a law firm site, gives the team a place to recruit plaintiffs for specific cases in progress, built so new campaigns can go live without waiting on a developer.
Built to Grow With Them
Litigation moves fast, and Lee Segui needed a site that could keep pace. The dynamic systems behind the results, news, and campaigns sections mean the firm can post a new case win, a press mention, or a new plaintiff campaign the same day it happens, without touching a line of code. A brand and a website built to earn trust today and prove it again with every new result.
"We wanted something professional, but also creative and different, which is rare for law firms, and that's exactly what we got. Every step of the process was clear and thoughtful, and they were flexible whenever we needed it. We're very proud of our new brand and website!"
